Futurum Consulting is very proud to announce that it has achieved Finalist status in not one, but two categories of the Techies Awards 2021.
The Techies celebrate the success and innovation of technology companies in Swindon and Wiltshire.
After just 1 year of trading, Futurum Consulting, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, was informed that it was a finalist in the following categories:
- Best Tech Start Up
- Flying the Flag for Swindon & Wiltshire Tech
The Awards Ceremony took place on 4th November 2021, with Futurum going up against some fierce competition. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be Futurum’s night, missing out on becoming a winner in either category. However, to be a finalist is something that the company is very proud of.
The award entry for the “Flying the Flag” category stated:
When Andrew Longland started Futurum Consulting, based in Salisbury in September 2020, he initially set his sights on Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset as the target market areas.
However, in a few short months, the business was gaining recognition further afield in the UK and internationally. The business now has several clients in the USA, as well as one in Australia.
Many of the services provided by Futurum Consulting can be delivered remotely which has opened up the market much more and became an essential operating parameter during the pandemic.
Futurum Consulting has been carrying out Digital Transformation and System Integration Projects with a huge variety of clients in diverse industries, all from its base in Wiltshire.
Conversations with clients in other parts of the world often lead to talking about where Futurum Consulting is based and Andrew is never shy to tell them about Swindon and Wiltshire, and it soon becomes clear that these clients already know of the reputation that the area has for innovation and technology.
The key concept of Futurum Consulting is to help organisations to operate more efficiently and get best use of their resources, both digital technology and human resources, and to help them become more agile in the way that they operate which allows them to change and flex to the environment around them which, during the pandemic, has been changing at a faster pace than ever.
Due to the pandemic, many businesses invested in eCommerce platforms to allow them to continue trading. As time went on, these businesses realised that online sales were going to become a very large part of their operating model, but they were still processing the orders manually in the back-office. Futurum Consulting has been able to integrate many clients’ eCommerce solutions with their ERP systems, CRM solutions, accounts packages and warehouse management systems, leading to greater efficiency and creating much more value for both the business and their customers by doing so. Many of these projects have been for Futurum Consulting’s international clients; businesses that trade with multiple countries using the technology that Futurum Consulting has deployed for them.
As part of these system integration projects, Futurum Consulting takes time to understand the client’s business, what the challenges are and where digital technology can help improve things. As such, these projects often grow in scope and become business process automation projects too, ensuring that the human resources that these businesses employ are undertaking value-adding tasks, and allowing the technology to carry out the administrative functions such as order-fraud checking, daily report running etc.
Futurum Consulting has also been busy helping other clients across the UK to source and select new solutions that meet their needs, conducting digital transformation discovery projects and assisting clients to improve their business processes and get best use out of their existing digital technology.
In August 2021, Futurum Consulting received the accolade of “Best Business & Technology Consultancy 2021” in the Southern Enterprise Awards.
Then in September 2021, Futurum Consulting exhibited at the Business Innovation South Expo, sitting alongside big tech companies such as IBM and DSTL. This expo allowed Futurum to speak to business owners and leaders about how digital transformation is a critical part of any organisation’s innovation and continual improvement.
